Tianqi Wan
Postdoctoral Researcher
Tianqi Wan holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Columbia University (2025) and is currently a postdoctoral research scientist at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) of Columbia University. He specializes in computational mineral physics, with a focus on the thermoelastic properties and phase behavior of lower mantle minerals such as CaSiO₃ and MgSiO₃ perovskites. His research combines first-principles calculations, molecular dynamics, and machine learning potentials to model mineral behavior under extreme conditions. He is experienced in using VASP, LAMMPS, and DeepMD, and is actively involved in developing databases for thermodynamic modeling.
