Debanjan Pal
Postdoctoral Researcher
Debanjan Pal is a postdoctoral researcher in computational geodynamics whose work focuses on understanding how deep Earth processes shape surface evolution. He investigates mantle convection, lithosphere–mantle interactions, and the dynamics of Earth’s interior using advanced numerical modeling tools. Debanjan earned his BSc and MSc in Geology from Jadavpur University in Kolkata and completed his PhD at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, where he specialized in computational geodynamic modeling. His broader research interests include mantle flow, plate–mantle coupling, and the links between deep Earth structure and observable geological phenomena.
