Vishal (Vishy) Manve is the Project Coordinator at Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO), where he supports the Modeling Earth from Atomic to Global Scale (MINERALS) initiative. In this role, he facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration across Earth science, materials physics, and geodynamics, helping advance integrated Earth system modeling and sustainability research.

Vishy brings over nine years of experience at the intersection of journalism, climate policy, and multilateral engagement. His prior work includes roles with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Growald Climate Fund, and the UN-SDG Evaluation Office, where he contributed to global programs in climate finance, policy evaluation, and just transitions.

Vishy holds dual Master’s degrees from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and the Columbia Climate School, with concentrations in climate finance, disaster risk management, and international environmental law. He also holds an executive education certificate from Harvard in Negotiation and Leadership and a bachelor’s in journalism from the University of Mumbai.
